It started with a subspace communiqué (Hinge swipe) in January of 2023. Shaun's profile picture was of him Vulcan saluting in front of the original Enterprise, and Nicole was intrigued... but it was his profile note claiming he likes when people gush about things they're excited about that necessitated a first date for her. He did not know what he was getting into.

They quickly discovered some insane similarities: yellow Katana sleeves (best shuffle feel), custom mechanical keyboard obsession, and TFT. Similarities aside, the chemistry was undeniable, and laughter and love grew like wildfire. They quickly became inseparable, and Shaun wasted no time getting Nicole a battlestation in the gaming garage he shared with his best friend and roommate at the time, TJ.

Then Shaun proposed in front of a T-Rex at the California Academy of Sciences because, as he would say, "Nicole LOVES dinosaurs." (He's not wrong.)

These days, they split their time between traveling the world, going to metal shows, festival-hopping with friends, and engaging in full goblin mode DO NOT SPEAK TO US gaming nights. Pazuzu, Shaun's kitty, quickly accepted Nicole as his new mom, creating a beautifully chaotic and happy family unit.
